Pros

Chamberlain has a unique culture and a unique position in the market. It is an exclusive educator of high level healthcare professionals including BSN, MSN and DNP nurses, and physician assistants. It is recognized as supplying graduates who meet and exceed standards sought after by employers of healthcare professionals. From the top down, the university is committed to supporting a culture of care- for our students, for each other and ultimately for patients. It has been said that many of the locations demonstrate a family-like feeling, respecting and recognizing colleagues for their individual contributions while holding them accountable for an high level of performance. Chamberlain is a place with purpose and there is nothing better than serving the students and being with them on their academic journeys.

Cons

Chamberlain has a rich history going back to Deaconess College founded in 1889. It has grown significantly over the past decade now supporting over 38K students. This level of growth has resulted in challenges as there have been many changes. Chamberlain has an environment that is fast-paced, often stressful and one that requires resilience. It may not be for everyone. For those who embrace a team environment, enjoy the challenge of high expectations and working with smart colleagues, Chamberlain is the place. There are always changes but those changes create opportunities to grow.
