(1) Scale means VERY bureaucratic. Critical decisions is built by consensus by the chain, across the chain which leads to inefficiencies (2) Insufficiency leads up cost pressures which leads up to "nickel & dime" decision as well as staff reductions to maintain margin $ (3) Increased load on some employees (4) Generally not innovative.
