Pros

A values-driven organization with very smart and hardworking colleagues. Very mission-focused with aspirations to have more than a single bottom line. Located well outside Philadelphia, this is not your typical financlal services firm and employees are proud of that fact.

Cons

There's a lot of pride among employees in Chatham's "culture," which is vaguely defined and can at times feel exclusionary. In interviewing candidates, prospects may be called out for not fitting in with interviewers.

Pros

Having spent the majority of my career to date outside of Chatham, I can safely say that at Chatham, I'm doing the best work of my career, having more of a positive impact on clients, team, and company, than with any other professional role. Perhaps not surprisingly, I'm more satisfied professionally than ever before! At Chatham, our purposes and values, which strongly resonate with me, frequently come up in discussions, both large and small, and I've never been with a firm that I've found to consider them as deeply as we do. I think that's what drives our success: our dedication to our clients, the market as a whole, Chathamites, and the world. I believe that our ownership structure and balance sheet afford us what feels like a luxury, though it's possible that the reverse also is true. Either way, I feel strongly that we do well by doing good in a wide and ever-growing variety of ways, and I'm optimistic that we'll continue to expand our impact and success by continuing to do so. In terms of professional development, my experience as a hard working self starter and team player in this rapidly growing company, has been that opportunities have presented themselves and that my growth by necessity has been organic and tailored to the intersection of my skills and passions and the company's needs. In combination with how well the company is growing (in many senses of the word), I'm extremely optimistic that those opportunities will continue to present themselves.

Cons

With growth can come growing pains, and many of the things that make the company great have a flip side. Fortunately, my experience is that we're learning as we go and generally making forward progress. I believe that we have the good kind of "problems, relative to others I've experienced in previous employment.
