      Good people and paid lunches

      The salaries are not competitive at all. All the decisions are done by one person that is Gil Shwed. He approves or not even a PR of $50. Therefore, the approval cycle of each activity is very long. If you want to make new and interesting things this is not the place for you.

      Known for commercializing the firewall more than 20 years ago.

      Cons

      The company sheepishly clings to what the CEO/founder knew more than two decades ago. While the list of specific cons is long (from operations to marketing to human resources to customer service) you need only to look at their high rate of turnover to see where the company’s priorities are (average tenure is less than a year). The world is full of too many well-meaning, forward-looking, modern employers to spend your valuable talents here.
