very disappointing, toxic culture, cliques and silos. Disconnected from HQ, every region does their own thing. Leadership (especially renewals) lack in experience and knowledge, taking care of their own career. No career progression for the team, no support. Immature processes, systems, lack of policies and rules of engagements. Lack of true data for setting up targets, commission plan set only for Sales Managers. any other roles not taken really into consideration. Targets set only for the company to make money not to reward people for their work. Long hours of work, late night quarter end closing and back to normal working day the day after. Lack of trust, transparency, changes every year to accounts, strategies, jobs and roles without prior discussion. HR unsupportive.

Less good conditions in terms of raises

Too many to list. Bipolar manager that went through 20+ staff in 2.5 years time! Research and development couldn't commit if their lives depended on it. Goals were always a moving target. Geographic staffing issues caused massive "bottlenecks" to getting things done. A main competitor was the one where I first heard "Check Point is dying on the vine!" and it is very true. All other competitors are far ahead in commitment and dedication to successful customers.

These negatives are exclusively for the marketing team. Sales team seemed to function much better than marketing, but it depended on who your manager is. - zero work life balance - you will literally work even when you are unwell, you will have no time for your family or even your health. - extreme red tapism - you cannot get anything signed off without getting it through 2-3 levels and you cannot even get a sign off from 3 levels up unless taking it through an approval process at each level up. - there is no sense of appreciation for your work even if you work a miracle. - supervisors always back-bite about those who leave & there is no sense of comrade within the team - you cannot get a promotion at Check Point until and unless you are always su**ing up to the boss.

salary is lower than in other places, raises are small difficult to get a promotion

As a platform provider, there is a lot to learn and understand

sometimes low salary compare to market. new young managers that dosent know how to manage.
