      Free stuff (i.e. water bottles, T shirts, thermoses, knick-knacks), Happy hour, inclusive.

      Unorganized, disingenuous, Poor management, lack of transparency and honesty

      Pros

      You can bring your dog to work. Peers within the team and other areas of IT work well together. More food options closer to the office coming soon.

      Cons

      Mgmt driving a lot of GREAT ppl out of Chewy. HR is not doing anything to solve the management problem. They do not care about employee retention obviously. Lots of favoritism going on where people are advancing to positions with no experience in the area. Positions do not seem stable with all the reorgs and changes every season. If you want to do team building or team lunch you have to pay for it yourself. Forget any sponsored training and development. No yearly salary reviews. Whatever you were hired at, don't expect an increase. DCOTA bathrooms for Chewy employees are horrible. As one, if not the biggest tenant in the building, Chewy needs to demand at least paper towel in the bathrooms.

      Pros

      Company Culture is strong, plenty of opportunity to do different things if you prove you can handle it.

      Cons

      Scaling too fast. The recruiters sell you a dream that won't or can't be actualized in the ways they describe or along the timelines management wants you to believe. Radically different culture between Boston and Florida. Process for submitting code/code reviews is a complete bottleneck.
