Toxic environment

Pros

There are a few strong clinicians left. Mediocre staff who do not question poor the leadership decisions are promoted to leadership positions. This has created layers and layers of incompetence. Good growth opportunities for these folks who wouldn’t have such opportunities elsewhere. Marketing is still strong. Fundraising too. Very high salaries for the “executive” staff.

Cons

The best services, and clinical centers are gone due to staff turnover. All qualified staff have left due to toxic work environment. Mood and ADHD centers are no longer strong due to turnover. The autism center is gone and running on trainees. Growth and support for qualified staff is nonexistent.

Pros

Great mission, excellent pay for clinicians, rare to probation/disciplinary action based on productivity, many friendly colleagues and grateful clients, hybrid and flexible schedule, opportunities to be involved with training and supervision, emphasis on science-proven, evidence-based therapies, excellent benefits package

Cons

High productivity requirement and expectations, some managers with big egos, can be high stress at times, limited opportunities for advancement
