Mental Health company run by those that need their own help

Pros

It was close to home and at the time seemed like a good place to work.

Cons

Run by a family that puts their needs above all others. Not open to change. Cheap would be an understatement. Rises are small. IT department head wants nothing to do with new improved ways to do things and keeps a tight lid on the internet and any advances that might make the workers jobs easier.

Pros

Supportive leadership team, especially the CEO and project manager. Interns are treated with respect and given a comfortable environment to learn. Communication with higher-ups is easy and constructive. Great place to gain initial exposure to the professional world.

Cons

Unstructured and unprofessional hiring process—intern contracts lacked clarity and expectations were vague. Requests for role clarification were met with open-ended responses like "any other thing that may be tasked," which suggests scope creep. Limited exposure to modern development tools and practices. Heavy reliance on WordPress with minimal coding-based production work. Not suitable for entry-level developers aiming to build strong technical foundations.
