Pros

The children were the best part.

Cons

Company doesn't listen to field employees. Company will not compensate salaried managers fairly. By that I mean, you will not be paid overtime even if you do not meet the minimum state and federal thresholds for an exempt employee. Company has an anonymous website where you can voice concerns, but they only reach out to you to get you to identify yourself. You know what happens then. Staffing is ridiculously tight while expecting you to build sales. There is a consistent chatter or gossip and a long line of managers who promote it. There is a lack of integrity in the field that leads to untrue investigations and terminations.

Pros

Very Flexible as per job requirements, just as long a you put in the hours and work weekends, if you gotta leave early for family issues, nothing is held against you. On a non busy day I can usually send staff home early when they request it. On a busy day staff will get more hours if needed. Schedules for school are easily accommodated. If you are a MALE, you can call out without a Doctors note, usually without punishment to the future hours. Management gets paid decently, sick leave, and vacation leave.

Cons

You lose your first Amendment as you do most jobs, meaning anything you say online will get held against you. I watched people cheat the cash system set up, forged signatures and remain in the store. While others are fired for defending them selves against a very hostile guest who was going viral with a slanderous remarks about how the manager "didn't" care her kid left her medication in the store. It's legal for the company to let your social life explode in a small town but Forbid you from repeating the actual sequences of events. *Anyone with any emotional issues should not work here. You'll get written in the redbook as having "emotional issues" as happened on shifts, I corrected it but zero training in how to address rather than "an anxiety attack" or panic attack. * Very little care about others with the new management, corporate first, labor first. talent second. *IF YOU ARE A FEMALE, you must bring a doctors note, as per General managers request for any call out. Team Two's do not get a pay raise. *Management is known for calling the staff annoying and telling them to stop talking in the kitchen. *The HR line DOESN'T have a live person, your problems are not heard. two weeks and counting and zero responses.
