      Slow, disorganized hot mess

      Pros

      The culture is steeped in mediocracy. If you want to do the bare minimum and hide in the cracks, this is your place.

      Cons

      No vision. No strategic direction. One-trick pony (optical networking). No willingness to take risks. Passive aggressive culture (very Canadian). Full of people who have no clue about what's happening in the broader market.

      Great technology & good people but terrible middle management

      Pros

      Flexible work environment (work from home), best networking technology in industry, decent benefits, visionary CEO. The working level is very collaborative and supportive but that spirit doesn't make it to the senior leadership.

      Cons

      Dead end jobs, zero people development, jerky-herky reorganizations, inexplicable lay-offs, 0% raises in record-brekaing revenue years, little recognition of accomplishments, some horrible senior executives

      Great company but sending a lot of work overseas

      Pros

      Great pay, benefits, good working environment and opportunity for advancement.

      Cons

      The company is sending a lot of jobs to Mexico or India, so they are letting a lot of employees with 15-20 years of service go to increase their bottom line.
