Frustrating!

Pros

Flexible. It’s a good environment to practice patience and humility. This section is proving difficult; it requires 20 words minimum and I’m truly struggling.

Cons

Wages are lower than that of our competitors; granted the skill set required is minimal, I cannot fathom how employees (and most management) survive without government assistance. Additionally, many loyal employees merely receive their obligatory 15¢ raises biannually and otherwise remain stagnant within the company.

Pros

The department I worked in had fabulous people. Flexible with hours.

Cons

A severe lack of communcation. Only salaried employees get bonuses. Dismal PTO (3 sick days!) Instead of focusing on the current stores, corporate is way too busy acquiring more, so you know what rolls down hill. Corporate does not care about its employees, only the bottom line.

Pros

Working very hard ALL - THE - TIME. Lots of 25-50 lb. lifting. Cleaning vomit & worse out of blocked toilets/sink is fun w/ a capital F! Employees are given the joy of working at the expense of their personal lives. And in spite of the neverending tasks the stores are still filthy dirty.

Cons

The glass ceiling for 99.99% of women is unbreakable. When a woman gets too close they are undercut by the use of frivolous reasons overlooked in men by men. If the choice is between a man or a woman promotions are given to the man. I've personally seen men afforded egregious errors, including money issues, that ended in reprimand, or firing for women.
