Pros

Honestly Few...used to get free car washes but CK thought the $0.60 of product was too much to comp for the managers...which doubled as an inspection of the wash. Managers get some flexibility in showing up to work.

Cons

Ask anyone, anyone what they think of CK and they'll tell you their story....the problem is upper management R.D.O and up. Manager work their fingers to the bone, Market managers try to keep their managers motivated just enough not to quit. Unbelievably abusive pay structure for Mangers....you'll work a minimum of 50hrs per week and up to 80hours on a bad week if your 2nd/3rd shifts call out, get sick, get fired by you or on any technicality. In that case you will be expected to cover that shift to keep your $35K per year job.....you will be on call, yes on call 24hrs per day, 7 days per week, 365days per year (exception: maybe not on your vacation, maybe) so don't go camping or floating with your friend (EVER) because as soon as you do your 2nd shift will call out and it's on you 100% to cover that shift...NO! your market manager is not responsible....you are! No college graduate mentoring/grooming programs to be advanced to middle management....just years of back breaking slave labor for 5-6years gets you advancement into the lower middle class life of a market manager....most CK upper level management are uneducated, or educated after the fact individuals. A degree means nothing and is almost a threat to senior management and you will get no brownie points or additional consideration for your education, they will actually promote some of the most ignorant people in the company before you will ever be considered....and god forbid an R.D.O comes into your store on an off day....that's gonna set you back a few years in getting that promotion you had been work for.

Pros

-Great co-workers and manager. -Flexible with shift requests and days off. -Once you get the hang of things, and during non-rush hours, environment is relaxed. -The job consists of socialization. -Being a CSR looks great on a resume, it can be a great starting place for the retail and other like industries. -Once you become Manager and higher, benefits and pay is excellent. -If you can make it as a CSR at a gas station-there is no customer service job you can't handle! -Job is pretty secure and steady with consistent hours.

Cons

-Pay. Our area had a rep for not giving raises. (see the conclusion below) -Our stores was mandatory 8 hour shifts, leaving early was really frowned upon. -Customers, being a gas station you get all walks of life--friendly, dumb, eye candy, foreign, rude, and just bizarre. -Advancement was moderately difficult, you need to make it clear to your boss on your desires to advance. CSR is mostly of people who just want a steady job and no real interest in advancing. I would not recommend this if you're looking for a good starting pay, don't like standing for long periods, or overly-sensitive. Many people I know who have worked there as well conclude with "you get tired of it fast."
