Pros
Cisco is great about letting people work where they want and allowing remote work. It is great that we practice what we preach. Since Cisco is a large company there are many opportunities to try out different job areas to find something you enjoy.
Cons
As with all large companies the politics are a little heavy for my taste. Most of your advancement is due to connections and not necessarily your competence with the job. The internal movement process seems flawed to me. In order to apply for other positions your management has to be notified at the very beginning. This can put you in a bad position if you are not selected and bonus time is around the corner.
