Dear Colleague – we appreciate your feedback & 3 star rating. Thanks for noting a few of the pluses of the Citco work experience. In addition to a competitive starting salary, the total package typically includes a generous and comprehensive benefit package with very good time off policies. Most Citco offices also offer a well-stocked pantry with free beverages and other amenities. We’ve noted on many occasions here on Glassdoor what an excellent training ground Citco is for candidates straight out of university. The financial training employees get can equip them for a career at Citco and also later in the financial industry. For those that grow and develop with us, the office size will determine if there is an annual or twice a year promotion process. However te vast majority of our managerial staff would have been promoted within. Employees who work hard, expand their technical expertise, client skills and supervisory skills are sure to be eligible for promotion and developmental opportunities at Citco.

Dear Former Colleague - thanks for you rating and highlighting some of the many positive aspects of the Citco work experience. I'm always surprised when someone thinks there are limited opportunities here given how much there is to learn in our industry. If you feel limited in IR, one can always consider opportunities in other Citco departments especially if you have accounting skills. Sometimes staff do have to go back to school to up-skill or gain an accounting degree - but if you are ambitious and want to grow, that's just part of what it takes to move up or even laterally into other departments that may be more interesting and career fulfilling.
