if your direct manager is not great unfortunately you will suffer. which is what happened to me. I worked many hours over schedule and never got paid for it because my manager excused it as well you get a bonus don't you? even though I worked on average 60 hrs per week i only put in for 40 hrs because he made it seem like I would loose my job if I ever said anything. I tried over the years and he would always threaten to take my customers away if I didnt like it. He was not a nice man and I wish I could get my time back or I wish I could get paid for all that extra time but I think that is too late now.
