      Great learning experience but lack of career advancement.

      Pros

      Great training program and lots of resources for learning. Good benefits and good people to work for. Flexible hours depending on the branch and lots of things going on so the day goes by quickly.

      Cons

      High turnover rate (especially in management). Technology is horrible. Company spending cuts have taken a huge tole. Bonuses and promotions are sparse.

      Pros

      I learned alot and was given many opportunities. I found a position that fit better for me elsewhere but this was a good starting point for me.

      Cons

      Many times the communication between management and the regular staff was lacking. I think they could improve by opening up more lines of communication.

      1. Senior management in the risk sphere seems to be very competent. 2. Role offers great exposure to upper management (EVPs), who value your opinion 3. Salary/benefits are competitive given that workload is not too onerous

      Cons

      1. Huge organization so it may be hard to quantify your overall contribution to the firm 2. Uncertainty regarding future (and bonuses) given 80% ownership by UK government. 3. Does not appear to be clear-cut career progression; need sponsors within organization to chart career path
