Pros

The vacation time they offered was pretty decent as well as the pay. It has gone down for people who are just starting of course with the way the economy is. They will work very hard however offer over time in many situations.

Cons

the sales culture there is ridiculous. Talk about micro managing to the t. I love banking and dealing with people but the sales of it all has going to be ridiculous.

Pros

Charter One offers a good work life balance and some great not your typical benefits including tuition reimbursement and child care assistance.

Cons

Management does not have to have managing capabilities. Just because someone is a good sales person does not mean that they are a good manager and vice versa.

Pros

The bank was sold to Charter One Bank in 2007. At the time, the company was decent, as the people that I worked with were highly experienced.

Cons

The top management was not very honest, and did not communicate well with its employees on critical matters that occured.
