Pros

I feel that there is great teamwork from the partners to the staff accountants and that everyone is always willing to help out where needed. The partners are very approachable and will help you resolve issues without the feeling that they are talking down to you.

Cons

Given that this is a public accounting firm, tax season can be stressful, but I do think that the partners try to do little things to help alleviate some of the stress.

Pros

Citrin Cooperman has proven to be an excellent career choice as someone coming from a Big 4 accounting background. The work itself can be challenging at times, but there is a much greater variety of different industries that can help an individual to grow and expand in their career. The work life balance has also proven to be very rewarding as the environment is one of respect and teamwork where one's personal life does not get pushed to the background. Citrin Cooperman wants to see its' employees grow on both a professional and personal level as well.

Cons

Keeping employees' schedules up to date is sometimes a challenge for Human Resources, but I believe this to be a result of the growth and expansion of Citrin Cooperman.

Pros

For the most part you are working with people who take the time to teach you. The majority of people working here have been here for years and are dedicated to the firm. You also have some say in what industry or industries you want to focus on. Even at lower levels you will have direct client interaction and partner interaction. You also get a decent amount of time off compared to competitors and an annual raise. If you work hard you'll get promoted.

Cons

The biggest con is typical of any accounting job - long hours from January through the tax deadline. This balances with the off-season.
