Pros

The work schedule was nice.

Cons

Day 1 of working I was provided very little training on what to do, but rather was expected to know how to do it. Asking questions was frowned upon. Very little feedback was given as to your progress or performance. About a month into being hired I was asked to make a decision that was unethical and refused to do so. About a day or two later I was gone. The fact that I was trying to support my wife and daughter was of no concern - people are treated as pawns.

Pros

Opportunity for management experience and responsibility at a young age.

Cons

Everyone in management was young at the warehouse including myself. This helps a lot of people but it hurts the whole warehouse. Atmosphere is very clickish with lots of drama and he-said-she-said. This also leads to very little recognition or reward because most management is afraid that you will look better than them or if you are in a lower position than them (even if youre a manager) you should be less intelligent. They are higher up than you so they must be smarter and know how to do anything and everything more proficient than you. Salaries/Wages are pulled out of thin air. Higher salaries are saved for the favorites. This can happen in a lot of businesses but it was obvious and more prevalent at Clark. EMPLOYEE TURNOVER IS RIDICULOUS. Constantly firing and hiring for random reasoning. Someone could get fired for the same the reason someone got a warning depending if they were a favorite or not.

Pros

Working for Clark Associates has been an extremely rewarding experience--I was surprised to see some of the negative reviews on Glassdoor. As a programmer, my experience here been excellent. Simply put, if you're a hard worker, you will succeed here. You will be compensated (both in terms of salary and position) for the effort you put in and the knowledge that you attain. Clark Associates really values a strong work ethic. The work environment here is far better than any company I've ever worked for. We're provided with free lunches just about every week, the dress code is very relaxed, there's a gym on site, and the office building is brand new. The employees here are friendly and all seem to excel at what they do. Management is also very lenient as to when you come in and leave, as long as the hours are put in. There are even several employees that telecommute a few days a week. As a programmer, decisions and code that you write every day directly impact the company's success, which is very appealing to me. I would definitely recommend Clark Associates, especially to other programmers.

Cons

As some other reviews have said, there is some turnover. That said, I have never seen an employee that was "inexplicably" fired. As I said in the Pros section, if you display a strong work ethic and competent ability, you have nothing to worry about. In the past, I've worked at companies in which there was NO turnover. Although it felt nice to always feel job security, there was always at least one individual you'd have to carry because they'd never pull their weight. Working extra hours because management won't cut the weak links from your team is not very fun.
