This company is your typical non-profit industrial complex job (except that they are owned by a for-profit company). The pay is not living wage, they do not understand labor laws, and in general are not ethical. They recruit and certify foster parents that should not take care of youth in trauma. They budget horribly and there is so much pressure to keep youth in care (aka no one makes any progress). Behavior Rehabilitation Services is an absolute joke. No one benefits from it- this is a problem I will attribute to the State, but Maple Star is still part of the problem. Management is petty and does not encourage growth within employees. Horizontal aggression is a thing and they are all incredibly gossipy. Stay far far far far away. It also seems like they are going to dissolve in the next 3-5 years- so maybe join them for an awesome layoff package?
