Pros

Working in the corporate office, teammates stick together and are very hard-working. Most mid-level managers are fair, understand how hard people work and try (mostly unsuccessfully) to provide career growth.

Cons

Senior management are former blue-collar trash collectors (literally) in the position of running a large company. If you deal with senior management you will hear some of the foulest language ever uttered in an executive boardroom. Extremely unprofessional communication and behavior. No qualms about publicly embarrassing employees/threatening to fire them in front of large groups of people. Unless you are being trained for the job, there is no career-oriented training. The longer you stay static in your career, and exhibit no ambition, the better off you are. Heaven help you if you make a suggestion or even try to make a suggestion to improve the company to senior management. People have been belittled and pushed out of the company as the CEO takes suggestions for improvement as a personal attack. Technology from 2003 - company IT infrastructure run like a 50-person mom-and-pop not like the multi-national company it is.

Pros

Very team orientated. The people I worked for were wonderful. Big enough company to move up in. Good benefits & 401K plan.

Cons

Being monitored. The reason why I left was because I was told I wasn't meeting my clicks, meaning it didn't appear that I was on my computer enough. However, there were some tasks that were lengthy and required me not to be on my computer but that didn't matter. I didn't need the fear of having a job one day and the next not. Especially when I was the one carrying the benefits for my family.

Only pro is the experience

Pros

The only pro I can give is that it gave me experience.

Cons

Pay was awful. No raises or evaluation. Unless you're part of the family. 40 hour weeks turn into mandatory 60 or 70. You're looked at like you're crazy if you aren't there sitting around 13 hours a day or more. I gave 110% every day and was punished for it. The others that gave half the effort were praised and rewarded. There were no systems in place, no teamwork. Lots of nepotism. Many people were pushed out/quit due to this. Very unfair. Job-specific training was basically obsolete. The people that train have no qualification or syllabus to do so.
