Pros

End of the head bonus, health benefits

Cons

So much mandatory overtime. We all live in a beautiful area, but with this job, all you do is work and can't enjoy why you live in Tahoe. Maybe hire more people and have less OT?

Pros

When I worked at Clear Capital the company was still headquartered in Truckee, CA and the location was a huge selling point to working there. The company provides a great way to gain corporate experience, but offers little training. The technology is great.

Cons

Very production driven with expectations of speed and accuracy, while only speed is truly rewarded. Quality of the products delivered is driven by minimum customer standards, with the company often testing the lower bounds of quality until the customers voice concern. The company runs on a model of staffing the minimum amount of low skilled workers at the lowest possible wages. Mandatory overtime is often required, which could be avoided with proper staffing levels or a more dynamic workforce. If you look through some of the reviews here, you can tell several are written by middle management at the direction of HR.

Pros

Easy processes You will not be held accountable if you are in with the right people Ego boost to feel like the smartest kid in the room constantly Great opportunities to advance if you are a white male.

Cons

Fake "nice" culture No diversity Archaic methods and approaches In an August All Hands meeting the CEO sipped champagne and reassured everyone that it was business as usual, that there was no need to panic. A few weeks later we were selecting the first list of hundreds of names of people to be laid off. This number was padded for the press by adding headcount from an arm of the business that wasn't impacted by the reduction. The percentage reported was wildly lower than what happened in reality. Dishonest at best. I gave a thumbs down on six month business outlook because I don't know if the exec team knows what that means, or could forecast for the next week given that shallow and poorly landed All Hands.
