Pros

It has a great atmosphere with no cubicles in sight. The people are all very friendly and easy to work with. The company is very profitable and stable with a bright future. It is a great place to learn a lot in a short time.

Cons

The benefits are poor...but I was not surprised for being such a small company. The company is very inflexible with work hours which is tough since most people commute a significant distance to go to work. Difficult commute to work.

Working for Clear Capital was a surprisingly good appraisal management company to work for given the state of profession

Pros

Once you understand the system, you can make good money per appraisal; however, there is a steep learning curve when you first start. Initially, I think all appraisers over think what is wanted and that makes the time to finish reports that are estimated to take 15 minutes more time consuming. Some of the ones in the beginning took up to three hours.

Cons

There was not enough work to make it worth it to keep my appraisal license. Even when I requested to do up to six reports a day, I would sometimes go for weeks without any reports assigned to my account.

Pros

The best training for new hires that I have ever seen in a company! ClearCapital wants to make sure you know your job! From the time that someone is hired, there is continuing education that is offered each employee on different areas of the company. There seems to always be an opportunity to learn.

Cons

1. Seems to be quite a commute for people who live in Reno. Remote computer access does not seem to be offered to every employee (a bit of favoritism). 2. Micro-management. 3. Assembly-line type work 4. Immature "Lead" management
