Pros

Diversified academic campus in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Loved working with the students and faculty.

Cons

Unions and management can be very political. My position was a bit isolated from the other departments at CSU of my department's campus location and because most of my workday was spent, as it should have been, at my desk focused on my work. Sometimes I felt a bit left out of different employee and cross campus events because of the isolation and lack of interface with other employees and management.

Pros

I've learned a lot from my team working in Enrollment Services/Admissions. It's a great foundation for anyone who wants to get into Admissions, Advising, and Upper Management in the Enrollment Services area.

Cons

They pay is horrible, there's a lack of training. You will not find any minorities working in upper management. Management does a lot of underhanded things. They promote friends and people that they like in positions that they can't handle or have any idea of what they're supposed to be doing. They don't look at student's as student's, but as numbers. There's a lack of training and not much room for growth. If you want to interview for a different position in another area they'll black ball you to keep you where they are by putting up requirements that don't match the job at.
