AVOID CLICKUP IF YOU CARE ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH

Pros

Salary, some cool coworkers, company is booming and growing quickly

Cons

ClickUp is overall a terrible place to work. You are expected to be online just about 110% of the time and employee happiness is sacrificed for the success of the app. This place is the definition of a sweatshop. Leadership has no clue what they are doing and even though they are hiring bright people, they are micro managers who control everything to the last detail. This company is full of surveillance and you will never quite feel “safe”. If sleep, mental health, and your family and friends are important to you, do NOT work here.

We are disappointed that your experience at ClickUp was not what you were hoping for. We value transparency and your feedback can help improve our workplace. We no longer require mandatory overtime in Customer Support because we recognize the importance of a healthy work-life balance. As we continue to grow, we are intentionally hiring impactful leaders with relevant experience. Thank you for your time at ClickUp and for providing this constructive feedback!

Pros

- The only thing people judge you on here is your abilities. Not race, gender, age, religion or anything else. Period. Meritocracy reigns supreme - You will grow professionally here faster than at any other company - Opportunities to take on different projects/roles are always one ask away - Your compensation will always increase if you try and grow 1% every day - Ability to work with a product that people truly love and that absolutely helps the world (especially those who can't afford expensive competitor products) - Mistakes are seen as growth and learning opportunities and people genuinely will push you to be better - Work with the brightest minds in the industry - Coworkers are positive and motivated - Company weekly lunches are a fantastic bonding experience

Cons

- We move fast and the grind is not for the feint of heart - For those who haven't been hit by the real world yet, ClickUp will gladly introduce you to the concept of "you get what you put in". If you aren't passionate about succeeding here and wanting to make the product better, you'll have a hard time
