Pros

Great mission and amazing product

Cons

Setting uncomfortable high standards that lead burn out. Also expecting you work to the born without proper compensation. No overtime pay

Really bad hiring practices

Pros

Not sure, they want you to give them ideas/work product before they even interview you. It's one of those.

Cons

They make you do an extremely in depth assignment before they even meet with you for an interview or screening. It seems like one of those things where they are trying to get ideas/work for free. I did an in depth assignment for them and got a generic, no reply, not selected email with no feedback, no screening and never so much as got to reply to someone via email. Shows lack of courtesy and lack of respect for time. I would avoid.

Pros

The hiring process is intense, but I think it’s the right approach. Instead of relying on keyword filters or resume-scanning software, CBH focuses on case studies and exercises that mirror the actual work you’d be doing. This allows them to hire based on results, not just credentials. While it may not be for everyone — and it does require meaningful upfront effort for a role you might not get — I personally prefer this. I’d rather invest deeply in a few companies I truly believe I’d be a good fit for than waste time sending out hundreds of applications that will likely never be seen by a human. Since starting at CBH, everyone has been helpful, kind, smart and very motivated. I can't help but think that this can be credited to the approach, and immense amount of effort they put into hiring the right people.

Cons

Clipboard Health is very results-driven. They won’t micromanage you, which I personally prefer — but it does mean you need to be proactive in all things, including setting your own boundaries to maintain work-life balance. This also is not the right company if you are just looking to coast. They want you to get better.
