Sorry for your experience. Luckily, most employees have a different one. Curious if you spoke with the owners about your discontent. I do think it important to share your thoughts with the people that can make change if it's warranted.

Pros

Idea is great, job itself is interesting

Cons

Using software that is ancient and they want u to price every single screw that goes in to the project. If you ever have a question - u will be given so many run arounds that I will never be able to give customer an answer. And there is always an excuse why manager couldn’t help u or answer the phone. Yet they want u to play by their rules .. how about u help me get the business? Average ticket amount is too little to make any sort of money and the amount of appointments isn’t enough. U end up chasing customers and once u realize how much u have made on this project u want to cry.

Pros

You spend 14 days in training mostly learning how they want you sell. Only a few hours to learn how to use the design software then they send you out on your own saying they’ll be there to help and support you but then the trainer Catherine rarely answers the phone especially if it’s after the office closes and on weekends when most of the appointments are. The design software isn’t intuitive and and you can’t get anyone to help you after the trainings over so you look like an idiot when you’re out at appointments. On top of that all of their systems are outdated. You need a physical key to use the software which they’ll charge you $2000 for if you lose it or if it breaks and they break all the time. Nothing is easy to access either…they have separate email and scheduling apps, catalogs and price sheets which are unorganized and not updated on top of a Google Drive where things are usually not updated either…nothings in one place, nothing runs smoothly and designers quit quickly…sometimes even before the end of training because they’re so overwhelmed, not trained properly and have no design support. I really wanted to live this job but feel like it’s very hard to grow here without support and proper training…everyday is a struggle because of the lack of support and proper training! I don’t know why they don’t invest more time into their employees because this job could be so fun and rewarding but instead its super stressful and frustrating. My recommendation …Don’t work here!!

Cons

See above….This is the worst job I’ve ever had and a big waste of time!
