      Great benefits and vacation policy.

      Teams are very separated don't work smoothly together. Conflict isn't easily rectified.

      Pros

      People are friendly and willing to help Cafeteria is nice and the food is free Our offices in SF and Palo Alto are nice and new

      Cons

      2 HQs (Palo Alto and SF) separates employees and hurts culture. Not to mention that they both feel empty. I don’t feel like the executive staff is “connected” with the people that do the day-to-day. The worker bees are unhappy. I don’t feel like my manager cares. New management every year on the sales side. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

      Pros

      High tech company working on a lot of neat projects with Big Data. One of the dominant players in the Hadoop market competing with Hortonworks.

      Cons

      Hadoop has not received widespread adoption that Cloudera was hopeful that it would. The Cloud players are now dominating this market. There will always be on-prem Hadoop use cases out there, but widespread adoption no longer looks like a foregone conclusion. Combined with the technical hurdles around IT operations in setting up a Hadoop cluster, this is a very difficult sales job.
