Pros

Cloudflare has been hands-down one the best companies for my career thus far. The company's culture is strong and understands what work needs to be done and how it should be done. There's no subterfuge! I really enjoyed the extensive and deliberate interview process that I went through. It clearly showcases Cloudflare's commitment to quality and excellence. The management team is always accessible and thoughtful about the company's growth and people strategy, which really sets us apart.

Cons

Nothing at the moment- Love this place!

Pros

Pretty relaxed working environment, low pressure.

Cons

London office is pretty disconnected from San Francisco. High employee turnover. Uninteresting projects. Plenty of technical debt. Tiring on-call rotation. Inexperienced management. Not many chances of career progression or salary review.

Thanks for the review. We know we’ve grown quickly over the years and you point out some of the growing pains here. I hope you haven’t been shy about sharing this with your manager, an engineering leader or the People team. We really want to hear from you directly. -janet

Pros

They're working on and beyond the edge of established knowledge, giving rise to some interesting problems. The people are great to work and chat with. Different backgrounds, smart. Active in the open source community, giving back.

Cons

The recruitment process is long and arduous. There's a lot of interesting interviews, but you have to keep on the ball to keep it rolling, otherwise it will stall, and then you're stuck waiting. The HR process in general is clearly in its infantile stage, but it's clear they're actively working on improving.

Thanks for the review and seeing that we are, indeed, always working to improve. The People team has grown a lot in the last few months, esp on the recruitment side. We have tightened up the process (and automated in parts too). We are measuring how frequently we communicate with candidates in the process. Although we are not resting on what’s been done - we are still seeking to get better. -janet
