Good pay Good holidays Nice discount scheme for employees Ethical company at the top Great co-workers Some management are amazing to work with

Cons

It can be cliquey with management at their favourites Bullies above supervisor grade are allowed to do as they want The customer is always right, even if that includes abusive/violent behaviour If you're not in a clique, forget career progression Loyalty is not rewarded and will be used against you Great managers often leave to be paid what they deserve

Our Co-op doesn't tolerate any form of bullying or harassment towards our colleagues and will take any allegations very seriously. Cons

-poor pay package -difficult to book your holidays as getting cover is difficult to arrange.

Worst company I've worked for.

Pros

Other staff members make the job bearable. Other than that, none!

Cons

Long hours. Expected to cover shifts at short notice. Frequently put on illegal shifts finishing at 10pm and starting at 6am the next morning. Staff discount is pretty rubbish. Management are generally terrible and the company doesn't seem to care about the staff. No progression unless your face fits with management. Minimum wage and expected to do A LOT for that.

I hope that you raised this with your manager or the HR team at the time so that this could be looked into and rectified. I'm also sorry to hear you didn't enjoy working alongside your manager and felt that there were no options for progression for you, again if you spoke to HR or your area manger about your concerns this could have been looked into.
