Very hierarchical; very hive-like: a nightmare for independant thinkers. Lower ranks have no power to question processes and will get bullied into silence. The technical department fell apart while I was there and no one was willing to address head-on the problems of poor management and flat out ignorance of the issues brought up by tech associates who knew the process better than management. One woman I worked with who'd been there for years doing well was suddenly bullied into silence and shut out until she wilted and finally left.
