Pros

Regular fun events (ice cream socials, Halloween costume contest, etc).

Cons

Extremely inconsistent treatment of employees depending on department, office location, and/or manager. You could luck out, or you could dread coming into work. Noticeably lower pay and opportunities for female employees. There are a number of manager and above employees who would benefit from professionalism, emotional intelligence, and in some cases anger management courses. Many of the manager positions are not natural leaders and it's very apparent. Keep technical people in technical positions, and don't have employees that are clearly terrible with people manage others.

Pros

-Pockets of good leadership -Average compensation -Ability to work from home

Cons

I've been with Coalfire for 6 years and the leadership just can't seem to figure things out. One day the delivery team is specialized, the next day generalists. Things aren't any better on the sales side either. There is a constant shifting of account ownership, which causes complete chaos. These massive organizational shifts happen annually like clockwork. The motto of the company is, "if it's not working, let's go back to what wasn't working before to see if it works better now." It's total chaos. I've seen numerous customers leave because we can't seem to get out of our own way. Add to the mix that our fees continue to go sky high. It's become a joke which is why I'll be leaving first chance I get.

Pros

Enjoyed work for the clients and travel was fun.

Cons

I should have read about this company before I joined in Glassdoor and not bothered to come work for them. Upper management does not know how to treat their people and kept laying off many talented people who worked successfully for better firms. Don't waist your time. My colleagues decided to leave as well or were laid off, and others who are still there are looking at other opportunities. The management should realize that the market is wide open for people with security skills now.
