Pros

Staff were friendly and very smart. Depending upon who you work with you may be able to learn alot.

Cons

Management does not provide provide regular training for employees. When they do provide training, they will ask you to sign a statement promising to repay them if you leave within a year. Travel is nonstop. Current management has not been able to handle the increase in business and as such projects are delayed and poorly planned and managed. Coalfire believes that what is a good salary in Colorado is good for Boston, Atlanta and California.

Pros

Fast growing company with great potential. Unbelievable team of hard working people. Company is committed to doing the right thing. Great access to clients and top management. Have been investing in training and managers as the company grows. Lots of diversity despite other postings.

Cons

Culture is to deliver great work and do it as efficiently as possible. Requires self starters and people willing to learn on their own time. High accountability - no where to hide Work/Life balance is a real challenge. Too much writing for technical geeks. This isn't for everyone. If you aren't willing to constantly improve yourself and commit the time to stay on top of technology/regulations/risks this isn't the job for you.

Pros

- Real client-facing technical work in regulated/FedRAMP environments; good exposure if compliance-heavy cloud is your lane. - Internal mobility exists on paper; managers may encourage internal candidates for promotions. - New management clearly understands their assignment and is saying the right things and taking initial steps that appear to be moving us towards a strong path forward.

Cons

- Promotion paths can be unstable; roles may get restructured mid-process, which makes career planning hard. - Management quality is uneven; promotion into management isn't always tied to demonstrated leadership, technical capability, or appropriate vision. - Limited structured professional development. - Compensation progression can be a friction point, including for internal moves. - Bonus payouts have come in far below target even for top performers, which has been rough.
