Pros

There are some great people to work with at Coalfire.

Cons

There are many to list. First, senior leadership is completely tone deaf to the people that actually do the work. They always always prioritize sales over actually getting the work done. The "solutions" they push as a claimed effort to "increase efficiency" and "make everyone's jobs easier" make the job incredibly more difficult for multiple reasons including increased complexity and customer complaints/demands. There are many many cases of people deserving of a promotion being passed over for the company to bring in an outside hire who knows nothing about the work done in the department or the way Coalfire operates. There have been so many new hires coming in, and so little training performed that quality of work has significantly decreased. And no one is held accountable when they are being negligent, lazy, or just plain uninterested, so the work always falls to the project leads to get done (or just doesnt get done at all), which makes these team members completely overworked, over tired, and feeling disrespected. In addition, the old boys club of senior leadership doesnt appear to really care about the problems below them. Constant changes to the company so little focus on actually fixing the problems that are very serious below them has left many unhappy in their positions. On top of that, a D&I council was formed seemingly to increase diversity within the company, but clearly something was not executed properly because that team wasnt given any power to make change, and as a result, nothing changed, and the old boys club continued.
