Company does not value support staff and no work-life-balance is allowed

Pros

You get to work with some smart people and learn a lot.

Cons

They have people in high-level mngt positions who can't manage their way out of a box. They frown upon anyone who wants work-life-balance - no room for it, they say. No career path at this company. They only value their consultants - and sales people to a certain extent. But they pay no mind to anyone in a support role, no matter how good of an employee they are.

Pros

Coalfire is a great place to work for an individual who is very self-motivated and can manage a lot more than just the technical aspects of the work.

Cons

As a consulting company, the time pressures often triumph the need to do a good job on quality assessment. Often the assessor doesn't get a lot of support from management in dealing with clients unless they're unhappy which creates a 'fire drill' culture where everyone is trying to put out a crisis.
