Great co-workers Wonderful mission Amazing students Fulfilling work Good benefits Amazing time off CCC has wonderful personnel who have an amazing amount of talent. Management DOES listen and takes everything to heart, especially with the new leadership in 2016. Co-workers care about what they do and about helping out the community at large.
Cons
Government support in Arizona of community colleges is terrible. There is a fear that the College will have to make additional cuts in order to survive. It is hard to promote from within and it's difficult to get raises, but that's a product of government work. There are also a lot of people in academia who have not worked outside of such an institution, and there is some gossip and childish behavior because of the size of staff.
