- Exposure to cool tech stacks and libraries (Flask, SciKit, Google Mediapipe) - Regular pay promotions for performance - Highly responsive administrators and management team - Very accommodating to schedule, ideal for college students or graduates looking for full-time work

Cons

- Initial hours can be hard to receive - Schedule can change last second due to student attendance

Pros

It’s great teaching others while polishing my coding, communication, and teaching skills. It’s one thing to know how to code, but to be able to explain it is a totally other beast and to do that with kids is just another layer of complexity. It’s a sometimes challenging but also very interesting job. The staff is supportive and there’re plenty of resources to help you learn and thrive.

Cons

Not necessarily cons of the place but things to watch out for with this kind of work: You might be stuck teaching subjects you’re not as interested in depending on popularity/demand for classes. The kids can get easily distracted, which I imagine is a challenge when working with kids anywhere, so it can be a challenge to get them engaged sometimes.
