Yeah downtown locations can be bittersweet. On the one hand it is where the action is and many of our clients are in walking distance. This is a game changer for our business. Also, the commuting options tend to be better (although Honolulu may be an exception). On the other hand, most downtowns are not vehicle friendly because real estate is at a premium. So hopefully you have an opportunity to explore a different commuting options to alleviate the parking costs. Then again, maybe soon we will all be hopping in Google cars that drive us to work and drop us off with no need to park. They could run our errands for us! Dave Ruff - President

In the four years I have been with Coffman one thing has always been very apparent: We are a family. Our culture is unique and welcoming, which has allowed us to have rapid growth and still maintain the fun. Also with that growth comes opportunities to learn new things and grow professionally as well as personally. We are a close knit team where everyone and their contributions are valued.

Cons

As with all consulting firms long hours are sometimes required to meet deadlines. This is simply a by-product of a high functioning team.

I couldn't agree more with your advice. When I was managing our Spokane office, one of the measures I used for the health of our culture was the engagement level in fun events both during and after work. At first the principals needed to initiate and participate in the fun to encourage the culture. However, the culture really took off when employees were initiating the fun. That was the indication that "fun" was authentically us, (i.e. far from contrived). If you have an idea for a fun event please run it by your manager or general manager. Glad to have you on our team. Enjoy coming to work with and for talented professional people. Forward thinking company that understands people make the company what it is. I feel everyone is valued and appreciated, your voice/contributions are heard with respect, and that's just one example of what sets Coffman apart from other companies I've worked for. No complaints about benefits.

Cons

They feed us too much and I've gained weight. No treadmill desks.:)

We do our best to counteract the food pushing with wellness campaigns that encourage healthy eating. We haven't taken the leap to treadmill desks, but I will start looking into those and stop my research on the hamster ball work stations. :) More seriously, I am glad to hear that your experience so far has been a positive one.
