Pros

Moving up is easy if you’re a favorite of management.

Cons

Management- Coming from any company management is supposed to be there to help you and have your back through situations. Not in this company. Management will ignore your messages constantly and only message back if they have an issue with something that’s been done. You have to be a favorite in order to move up but the first time you do or say something they do not like you’re back on the phone. Pay- there is no pay equality. Someone who has no experience is making the same amount as someone who could have years of experience as an intake specialist Moving up- If you are wanting to move up , you have to mention it to upper management and hope they like you enough to move you up. But once you do get moved it more than likely it will be room support. As room support you have the responsibility of “supporting” different functions but in reality you’re babysitting adults. Anytime you do anything , your room support will essentially snitch on you. As an ADULT there is no reason why someone should be snitching because I had to turn my camera off for 30 seconds to get a booger out of my nose. The term “fluid”- This term is used very frequently. This means you need to be up and ready to move at any given moment during the day. Which means, your schedule is likely to change every 15 minutes. BUT that doesn’t apply to everyone. There are people who’ve been in one function for the last 3 months and it’s been mentioned to management that we do not get to perfect other skills in the same function but it’s still considered fluid somehow ?? You will be placed in functions you’re not technically skilled for but because you sat though a 20 minute meeting and had a 5 question test , you’re considered skilled. Zoom- Again , as adults why are we on zoom all day like we aren’t trusted to get the work done ? Don’t turn your camera off , your room support will definitely snitch. Shift bids- Everyone was hired on a specific shift. Then everyone had to bid their shifts based on tenure and stats but let’s face it the ones who’ve been stuck in ONE function do not have the same stats as someone who gets moved around so let’s imagine who got the better chance at better schedules. Work load- They hired on alot of people for the launch of 50 states starting January 1. But there is VTO being offered everyday because there is no work. Most people are sitting in phone rooms not getting a call their entire shift because everyone cannot afford to take VTO. Rules and regulations are made up as we go and nothing is ever set in stone.

Thank you for this review, we appreciate the feedback. We strive to ensure all team members are able to receive real time support, while also building a sense of community and teamwork, this is done through Zoom. The Zoom rooms give all the opportunity to be part of the virtual contact center and interact with teammates. We also strongly believe in pay equality for our team members which is why we are transparent about the pay during all interviews and in the job posting. We have a defined career laddering program for our Intake team members that is accessible via our internal web based resource page and is reviewed with new team members live quarterly. We encourage you to ask your leadership team for more information. We are very committed to promoting from within and developing talent. We can’t wait to be a part of your journey.

Pros

The company is making a positive impact on patients by greatly improving the path doctor’s offices must take to provide (insurance-paid) care to patients.

Cons

Think old school call center when you’re considering an Intake Specialist or other entry-level job at Cohere. Amazing company doing great things for health tech, but their CS dept isn’t a long-term solution for those with career goals and aspirations. The low pay is sad, and the camera requirement is weird (creates an environment of low or no trust from the outset). There’s no room for thinking, autonomy, or creative solutions in this job, so if you’re looking for something like that, this is for you.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback. Since our professional environment is 100% remote (work from home) we create the atmosphere of working in a virtual office setting. Zoom is used to create a sense of teamwork and togetherness. We strive for all of our employees to develop a career progression with their Supervisor during their one on ones. The defined career laddering program for our Intake team members that is accessible via our internal web based resource page. We encourage you to ask your leadership team for more information. Many of our process enhancements come from the great feedback from our team members. We encourage everyone to share enhancement ideas with your leadership team. We can’t wait to be a part of your journey.
