Pros

None, they treat everyone like trash

Cons

Just terrible partners and working terrible hours. Super cliquey. Partners schedule meetings at 930pm to keep you in the office that late (not an exaggeration). Had wfh one day to get a plumbing issue fixed and it was brought up by the partner daily for months. Run as far away as you can

Pros

get to leave at noon on Fridays during busy season

Cons

You know you're in trouble when you go to managers for questions and they respond with, "I don't know, I haven't done that in four years, give it your best shot." Once you then give it your best shot, you are given a bad review because the manager's at the firm expect you to have knowledge that they don't. The culture is more that of a grade school, with constant favoritism and gossip. People work in a constant state of anxiety due to the poor process of dumping associates right after busy season without any prior warning or notice. No formal training on the audit software that is used, you are instead frowned upon when questions arise regarding matters you have never handled before. Managers constantly work from home, and ignore phone calls or emails regarding questions staff or seniors may have, and then in turn return to work to chastise you for not having work complete. If you enjoy working with HUD transactions and Affordable Housing and not much else to add to your resume, you are in luck! They don't even match 401k...

Pros

-Smart dress policy…translation…wear jeans everyday unless at a client site. -Exposure to clients happens early and often - All stages of the audit from start to finish are visible -You will eat well during busy season -Renovated office space

Cons

-There is little to no training typically. Your first assignment will most likely be a sink or swim experience with little to no guidance because no one has the time to train you properly. - Your life will take a back seat to work. There is no balance here and it is mostly all for show. “We work hard” is a more valued statement than “We work smart.” -Every job is a fire drill. Each assignment you get is the absolute most important thing and needs to be finished as soon as possible because the client already isn’t happy and you will need to drop everything and get to work! Oh and at any given time you will have multiple assignments like this and the managers won’t coordinate with one another, they’ll expect you to do that. -You are replaceable and management will let you know this and treat you as such. At least pretend like we aren’t. -Everyone is extremely passive aggressive. -Everything is for show but there is no substance, primarily the hourly expectations and showing up for “team building” events. -Communication without results is the norm. -Managers are subject matter experts but they will not manage anything. They will throw you under the bus. -Office politics is high school all over again except much pettier.
