Good stepping stone

Pros

You will work a lot, but you will learn quite a bit in this role. You will learn significantly more than you would learn in Audit or Tax. If you are in your mid-to-late 20's it's an excellent role to learn. You will be younger than your coworkers and you can pick up quite a bit of knowledge from them. It's a great job if you use it for what it is - a stepping stone. The ultimate pro in consulting is that you are continuously working on new clients which can bring in lots of opportunities / rapidly grow your network. Cohn also does work with a good blend of SMB's and Fortune 500 companies,

Cons

Underpaid and overworked. It's public accounting, so you are a number to the MD/Partner.

Pros

Overall good, fast pace but teams are mostly supportive. High performers are treated well, compensation wise.

Cons

This job will consume your life/little to no work life balance. Busy season can be 6 months of the year minimum, almost a full year for some. Poor onboarding with high expectations for performance when starting.
