Beautiful campus, support nice people working on making the world better

Cons

New management has made many poor and selfish choices. Buildings are dilapidated. HVAC systems are ancient and failing. Promises are frequently broken. Managers threaten employees, throw temper tantrums and lie. Superiors request favors outside of work and behave unprofessionally. Some employees are treated like gods with unbelievable benefits and some are treated like trash. Pay is poor. Work is often outsourced that should be done in-house faster for less. It seems management doesn’t want any in house repairs made; would prefer to outsource all work. Waste is rampant. There are no end of year reviews or evaluations. Hard work and loyalty goes unappreciated.

The name sounds prestigious, able to collaborate often with other future potential employers

Cons

Terrible benefits, disorganized, lacks professionalism, low low pay even for PhD graduates, not much PTO, led by someone who is not even a scientist which can be very frustrating, no work from home allowed, even when it is Christmas eve, led by racist and ableist men who are there merely because of privilege. The top dogs make tons of money while PhD scientists are making 50-80k. No bonuses, raises or reward for hard work.
