Pros

Great people to work with. Easily approachable. And most people will not try to scoup your work, so you can talk freely about what you're doing. Community is fairly small, so everyone gets to know each other. Lots of opportunities to get to know exciting, smart, and active researchers in and outside of the Lab. Lots of opportunities for collaborations. Top-notch research. Benefits are good.

Cons

PIs (principle investigators) are a little more "god"-like than I have noticed at other universities, so they are not as approachable. Nonetheless, access is easy and if you want, go for it. Labs are somewhat cliquey, so it is tough breaking through those barriers at times. Area is expensive to live in.
