Frustration year after year

Pros

The mission to create opportunities for all students drives the work and the people. Despite the negative press that people like to publish sometimes, the College Board does truly care about the students and the organizations that it supports. The benefits, pay, and time off are great and above average. The work-life balance and flexibility that is allowed is great for me.

Cons

Vertically speaking, the layers of management are stifling when it comes to getting things done and getting decisions you need. Horizontally, there are silos across teams within departments and across departments, leading to diluted ownership, confusion, and balls getting dropped. After working here over 5 years, I have seen too much so-called analysis paralysis, PowerPoints that don't go anywhere, and constant org changes.
