Pros

Make your own schedule mostly Meet interesting people but overworked Medical benefits are good but no maternity or paternity for sales

Cons

Salaries are extremely low and they will tell you that they increase but they don't. Salaries have been on hold for years. Stopped 401k match Employees don't travel as often as you would think and even awards for sales have gotten cheap. You win "Collette cash" to apply towards a tour but you need to win multiple in order to pay for it. They just want to keep as much as they can for themselves. They know they can hire young recent grads and make promises that they don't know how to challenge. Office support is slacking and they attack outside sales

Great Benefits and place to work but history of Lay-offs

Pros

The Benefit Package is extensive and affordable. The Wellness Program allows for you to attend Wellness classes and there are days the whole company participates in different events. On-site Wellness Center with personal trainers. The company promotes and pays you for volunteering hours locally and abroad. Good training program. Employee Familiarization Tours.

Cons

There is a History of company wide Lay-offs even after having a hiring surge. To their credit they have called people back to work but there is no guarantee. Job security just isn't there. Company spends money on perks instead of making sure people can keep their jobs. Customer loyalty program needs work.

Pros

Right off the highway = easy commute Occasional free stuff on Fridays Great Trainer Health benefits are a good deal They do awesome things for the global and local communities

Cons

Pay is well under par (take 30% + off of what you might make at a Fortune-rated company) and, overall, benefits are average. No sense of structure or purpose to the organization. If it isn’t about selling, it doesn’t matter. Disorganized resources = no clear policies or procedures. Many managers don't seem to know how to actually manage or lead a group. Make sure you ask very specific questions during the interview about anything that is important to you. Get clear answers. Should you choose to work at Collette, get everything in writing before you start and carefully read your offer letter. This seems like common sense, but they don’t put much in their offer letters and you are the one that will get hurt. It is common practice for this company to require a mandatory physical AFTER the letter has gone out (and you’ve told your current employer that you’re leaving) so be prepared.
