Pros

Overall, this is great gig and was my dream sales job having come from corporate cubicle land. Collette creates a high-quality product (who wouldn’t want to talk about travel all day?) that you can sell easily and with confidence, plus the opportunities to see the world with the company are spectacular. As remote employees, the Outside Sales team is given a great deal of autonomy, the independence and flexibility are awesome – you create your schedule, run your own book of business, and determine your own income. Never will you have to report to an office or feign small talk over the water cooler. If you work hard and do what you’re supposed to, no one will micromanage you and there’s plenty of opportunity to make an excellent living and grow as a professional. There’s a reason that talented sales people spend their entire career here or “boomerang” back once they leave.

Cons

Unfortunately, COVID-19 hit the travel industry hard, there is a certain level of risk that comes with the current market instability. Collette is a 100 year old company and will no doubt recover, just a matter of time if you’re able to commit. People will travel again and when they do, it will be great place to be.

Pros

Free wellness center on site, travel benefits if you are in the right position, some departments have good management.

Cons

Family-centric, hard to find upward mobility in most positions, going through a lot of transition/turnover right now, office working environment outdated.

Pros

Generally the people are nice. Depending on the department there is flexibility in schedule, ability to work remotely, take a FAM

Cons

Management tends to play favorites. No chance for advancement. The free FAM trip benefit is really only available to certain departments.
