Less than average pay for booming business

Pros

Great healthcare, friendly coworkers, paid vacation/sick/personal time, opportunity to travel on a guided tour maximum 1 time per year based on lottery system, on site wellness center/gym, 4 hours paid volunteer time a month, bonus (depending on business success) each year

Cons

Below average pay for industry, very hard to move from one department to another without experience in that specific department, not a lot of opportunity to advance as they tend to hire outside instead of promote from within (even though they say they do), parking is limited near buildings - have to cross busy street to get to main parking lot and that's usually full.

Pros

The travel opportunities are great, and extended to all levels of the company. It gives you the opportunity to see the world and meet new people.

Cons

Collette is a family-owned company. They will hire ANYONE in ANY position if you are a family member. There is no need for experience or competence. Nepotism is a way of life at Collette! The company could be amazing, but they continue to make poor hiring decisions and pay no attention to the mistakes and incompetence of the people who have no business working in the capacities that some of them fell into. These misfits are so busy covering their incompetence that they fail to nurture and support the talent working beneath them! It's such a shame! I'm glad that I left this company.

Think twice before considering Collette

Pros

-Generous volunteer time -Co-workers are generally nice and easy to work with

Cons

-Lack of growth potential: CEO talks about growth but there are no actions to grow current talent and people are leaving the company because of it. -Lack of personal time off: all employees under 10 years receive 2 weeks a year but are expected to work 40+ hours every week. -Lack of competitive pay: the range in pay isn't great, it's below the industry average and if you get promoted you won't receive much more in pay. -Lack of qualified & knowledgable management: a majority of the time they talk the talk but don't walk the walk...they like buzz words to sound knowledgable but it's very clear they don't know what they are doing. -Unrealistic expectations: projects pop up every day but don't have clear expectations, goals and/or guidance. Management talks about what they want, don't follow the project along its course and then get mad when the project isn't deemed a "success" (which is a joke because they don't define success).
