Pros

From the sales perspective: This is one of the best positions to earn a comfortable living, travel the world for sales meeting & try your own product (does not affect PTO), generous PTO and holidays, discounts on travel, car allowance and phone allowance for outside sales reps, 4 hours per month to volunteer and become involved in your community, 100% non-profit that gives back to children around the world and one of the top companies for its philanthropy, comprehensive benefits and wellness program (i.e. gym membership reimbursement), the people who work for Collette are wonderful in all departments around the world. If you get the chance to work for Collette, there will always be growth opportunities for you to further your career. This does not necessarily mean moving to management positions. If you perform well, Collette notices and can reward you through your salary, awards (cash & free travel), etc. Collette gives you all the resources you need to succeed at you position and is always willing to invest more in their people. Collette is a very transparent company and gives people a chance to become successful. It is not a "cutthroat" culture! They understand and teach you how to sell and learn more to be a success in the travel industry.

Cons

If you do not like being away from home and driving 25K - 30K miles per year, this is not for you. Certain times of the year, due to "busy" season, you will have long days or might have to periodically work on the weekend. There are plenty of over night stays, and will always depend on the size of your territory.

Pros

It’s said travel makes us sharper, happier, feel alive and changes us forever. To be part of an organization that helps makes a difference in someone's world – that’s pretty cool. Now, I don’t live in the clouds. Is it perfect here; no. But, please. Is anywhere PERFECT? The pros: opinions are valued, new ideas are welcome, people are uniquely friendly (it can be a culture shock for some), technology is moving in the right direction, and did I say my job makes a difference?

Cons

The “cons”. It’s a family run business stepping up its game and with stepping up comes change that is not valued by everyone. The company is in a bit of a flux. Not a debilitating flux, but one that is noticeable. You’ll find employees who like doing what they’ve always done, and thinking the same old way. But, you’ll also find the ones thinking differently and setting us up for the future. You have departments that don’t step out of their four-walls, but you have others that are breaking them down.
