      Good people, but very stressful situation

      Pros

      Generally, the people I worked with were very nice and professional; Always went the extra mile to support our projects.

      Cons

      CED is owned by an international real estate company and has recently become very profit-centered. While I understand the need to be profitable, I think that has taken precedent over client service. Quarterly closings are extremely stressful and overall culture has been negatively impacted. The accouting system is also extremely complex and very difficult to navigate, even with training.

      Pros

      They do pay well and allow working remote.

      Cons

      Where to start...company culture does not exist. Basically, you are in the club or you are not. And if you don't live in NJ then you are not in the club. They have no consideration for work life balance (lunch time and after-hours meetings). They push everyone to charge higher rates which result in loss of clients in the smaller markets. Financially they separate the disciplines, which then turns groups against each other because not reaching their unattainable goals is just another reason for them to lower your bonus. Also constantly threating middle management with laying off their employees while still spending a gross amount of overhead. Toxic people in management keep getting promoted...the list goes on and on. Do yourself a favor and skip applying to this company.

      Pros

      This company has a great opportunity be successful. I really think if they made it the way they have it on the east coast it would be a great place. Pay is great, benefits are awesome. All the hours you could want.

      Cons

      It only takes a few bad apples in powerful places to ruin a great work environment. Unfortunately that is what has happen here. If HR really did something about those bad apples this place would've been the best company I ever worked for. Sucks they didn't do anything while I was there.
