Pros

The people here are very familiar with payroll and willing to train and offer help wherever and whenever they can. They have a lot of employee events like happy hours to show employee appreciation.

Cons

Promotions and new opportunities are rare, you really have to keep your ear to the ground in order to get wind of job opportunities.

Pros

The brokers are nice; the office space was comfortable. Location not far from the Pacific Ocean and shopping. They had nice lunches occasionally and volunteer events for charity.

Cons

Nothing challenging about the work. The director made life miserable for every assistant, so the turnover was extremely high -- revolving front door. Low pay, low morale among staff. Extremely low number of women brokers; none at this particular location out of about 45 men at the time.

Pros

Unfortunately, I don't have very many pros in working for this company. If a future employee maybe worked in a large office the environment might be more positive.

Cons

Poor management and flexibility; no work/family balance; good ol' boys mentality makes it hard to succeed within the company.
